Osäkra webbläsare – Eftersom de inte får något stöd från mjukvaruutvecklarna blir de mindre och mindre säkra.
Långsamma – De är i genomsnitt 3,5 gånger långsammare och för att hålla jämna steg med den nuvarande tekniken kommer de bli ännu långsammare eftersom de behöver alla typer av patches för att få jobbet gjort.
Utvecklarmardröm – Eftersom de inte stöder det mesta av den moderna tekniken ökar de kodningen för support och tiden för att göra det dramatiskt. En investering som inte är värd de 1,4% användare som fortfarande använder denna webbläsare över hela världen. Dessa 1,4% är troligen inte heller din målgrupp. Att anpassa sig till gamla webbläsare kan också påverka bra och moderna webbläsare som Chrome, Firefox och Safari.
Fortfarande orolig? – Kontrollera din Google Analytics för att se hur många av dina besökare som fortfarande använder IE eller Edge Legacy och överväg om det fortfarande är värt investeringen.
Följ med oss in i framtiden – Vi är inte de första som slutar stödja IE och Edge Legacy. Vissa företag med mycket fler användare har redan övergivit dessa webbläsare före oss. YouTube, Spotify, Google, Yahoo, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook och framför allt Microsoft själva!
